At ADV Hire, we make it easier for riders from around the world to do exactly that – with late-model, low-mileage adventure motorcycles ready for the road, the mountains, the gravel and everything in between.
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, we specialise in premium adventure motorcycle rental for riders who want the freedom to plan their own trip and explore at their own pace.

We started ADV Hire with a simple idea: Your motorcycle rental should be one less thing to worry about.
When you’re travelling from Europe, the UK, Australia or elsewhere to ride in South Africa, you’re already committing time, money and plenty of planning to the trip.
The last thing you need is an old, high-mileage rental motorcycle standing between you and the adventure. That’s why our focus is on low-mileage, late-model adventure bikes from manufacturers including BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki and CFMOTO.
Newer bikes. Lower mileage. Modern technology. And, most importantly, the confidence that comes from riding a motorcycle that is properly suited to a big adventure.
Because when you’re thousands of kilometres from home, reliability isn’t a luxury. It’s part of the experience.

We’re based in Cape Town, one of the world’s great destinations for adventure motorcycle riding. We also have convenient collection and return depots throughout South Africa.
From here, riders can head along spectacular coastal roads, through mountain passes, into the Karoo or onto the endless gravel roads that make the Western Cape such a special place to explore.
And South Africa is only the beginning.
Our motorcycles can also be used for trips into a number of neighbouring Southern African countries, including Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, subject to the relevant rental requirements and travel conditions.
Whether you’re planning a few days around the Western Cape or a multi-week Southern African adventure, ADV Hire gives you the freedom to make the trip your own.

We're not here to tell you where you have to ride.
Some riders want sweeping mountain roads and coastal passes. Others want gravel, remote backroads and long days in the saddle. Some want a bit of everything.
That’s the beauty of adventure riding.
Our job is to provide the motorcycle, equipment and rental support to help you get out there and enjoy it.
That’s why we offer more than just the bike.

- Need the bike delivered to your hotel? We can arrange that.

ADV Hire is a subsidiary of The Adventure Co, a Cape Town-based adventure company specialising in guided adventure motorcycle tours and other adventure experiences.
That connection means adventure travel isn’t something we’re simply adding to a rental business. It’s something we’re already deeply involved in.
We understand the bikes, the routes, the terrain and, perhaps most importantly, what riders actually want from an adventure in Southern Africa.
